Adobe Soundbooth (Sb) was an application in a sound studio that was intended for audio editing at a basic level. It was created and produced by Adobe Systems; Adobe Soundbooth appeared in Creative Suite 3 version of its applications in March 2007, mainly acquired in all Post-Production Video Adobe Systems Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium.
Adobe Soundbooth was considered a shortened form of recognized professional audio editor, also produced by Adobe Systems, Adobe Audition. Soundbooth is made available both individually and in packages such as Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection and Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium as mentioned before. Adobe Audition was withdrawn, not discontinued (as was thought at first) versions CS3, CS4 and CS5 of the suite to be made available to leading experts in audio, radio and video sold on an individual basis.
However, for the CS5.5 version Adobe Soundbooth discontinued development, integrating Adobe Audition again to the suite. Adobe Soundbooth is integrated with other key applications in the package of video post-production Adobe CS Production Premium and animation such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe after Effects, and even the renowned creator and deliverer of global interactive content Adobe Flash Professional. Adobe announced that as of April 24 of 2011, there will continue to sell this software to focus on development of Adobe Audition.
