iTunes users are able to organize their music into playlists , edit file information, record CDs , convert files to different formats, buy online music store through the iTunes Store and enable a viewer to music presented in graphic form. Another new iTunes are 'smart playlists' which automatically detect music as search criteria chosen by the user as a database. iTunes is available for Mac OS X , Windows XP , Vista and 7 from the Apple official website. It also come standard on all computers Mac , and some HP and Dell .
There are older versions available for Mac OS 9 , OS X 10.0-10.2 and Windows 2000 . The iTunes is not available for other operating systems such as Linux. Version 4 of iTunes introduced the iTunes Music Store, the current iTunes Store , through which iTunes users can buy music legally, through the system ClickandBuy , and download it from internet . iTunes Store is fully integrated with iTunes. Most songs downloaded from iTunes Store are copy protected by Apple technology FairPlay , a technology that implements digital rights management ( digital rights management ). Some songs (especially the record label EMI ), however, are issued at a higher quality and without DRM .
